Karen E. Giunta, founder of Transitions and New Beginnings (R), is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 20 years of experience in behavior modification.  Karen walks alongside her clients, providing guidance with empathy, care and compassion, as they work together to build or rebuild relationships that are healthy, connected and lasting. Karen has helped many clients heal from traumatizing broken bonds resulting from infidelity, childhood issues, and other life challenging experiences. Karen helps individual clients build a relationship with themselves, and with others in their lives.

Karen holds a master's degree in marriage and family therapy and a master's degree in exercise science.  She is a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples and Family Therapist, an Approved EFT Supervisor Candidate, and an EMDR Level 1 & 2 trained psychotherapist.  Karen is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Greater New York Center for EFT, New England EFT, and an associate member of EMDR International Association.  She is also an adjunct professor for the Psychology Department at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT.
